We provide ongoing support to UEFA across streaming, encoding, and content distribution across a range of events, from the UEFA Champions League to esports competitions. Our role includes taking live feeds via satellite and SRT, managing their encoding, and ensuring seamless distribution across UEFA’s social platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Working closely with UEFA’s broadcast and social teams, we help deliver high-quality live coverage to millions of fans worldwide.

We downlink UEFA’s satellite feeds before encoding them for live streaming. Our team works closely with both UEFA’s broadcast and social media departments, coordinating start times and ensuring a smooth transition between the two. We actively monitor live streams, provide real-time troubleshooting, and deliver post-event reports on viewership and engagement. This work is managed from our in-house MCR, with additional support from key broadcast industry partners when required.
/highlights
Being entrusted with live streaming for major UEFA events has been a privilege. In particular delivering two high-profile halftime shows for the Champions League and Women’s Euros. Collaborating with UEFA’s passionate team has been a rewarding experience, and witnessing the enormous viewing figures for digital broadcasts has reinforced the power of live streaming in modern sports coverage.
/challenges
Managing time zone differences when working remotely requires careful coordination to ensure seamless execution. Communication with on-site teams during fast-paced events can be challenging, requiring clear processes and rapid problem-solving. Additionally, navigating the nuances of different social media platforms—including their unique streaming requirements—demands constant adaptation.
/learnings
Some UEFA events have achieved millions of live viewers, demonstrating the growing shift toward digital platforms over traditional linear broadcasting. This reinforces the increasing importance of live streaming in sports media and highlights the need for continuous innovation in digital content distribution.
