Meet Millie, who works for Tell as a social media manager. Although she’s a recent addition to the team, Millie has already made her mark and we’re super excited about all of the work she’s done on our social media platforms. We were thrilled to talk to her about her role and her journey with Tell so far.

Tell us a bit about your career journey and what brought you to Tell?

“I studied theatre at the University of York and have always been interested in all aspects of performance. As I got into my final year, production roles captured my eye and I spent most of my time getting as involved in curating productions and performances as I could. Obviously, with the effect of Covid-19, a lot of performances changed to virtual events and made me realise the importance of tools like social media to advertise these online productions to as wide an audience as possible. Working on productions like that built my knowledge and interest in social media as a core marketing tool for any sort of business. Nowadays, if you don’t have a social media presence then you’re not in the game. So working in a social media manager role at Tell enables me to bring that experience and insight to our social media platforms.”

What is it that you do with/for Tell and what is your favourite part of the job?

“I run Tell’s social media accounts, showing our audience what the company is up to and engaging with our followers. My favourite part of the job is creating a social media presence that shows off the variety of jobs Tell does, and the amazing brands and clients that we work with on a daily basis. Essentially, I love that I get to show off the cool things Tell gets up to in and out of the office!”

What personal interests/passions do you have and do they ever intersect with the work you do with Tell?

“I’m a self professed foodie so I absolutely love trying new foods and restaurants, and making new recipes. If there’s food involved, I’m there! I’ve started documenting all my food discoveries on my Instagram and following lots of food content creators on TikTok. I guess, in a way, that does intersect with what I do at Tell because, as a consumer of social media, I can see what kind of content I enjoy watching or reading, which in turn influences how I think about managing the Tell social media accounts.”

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in life?

“No is a full sentence.”

What mythical creature do you wish existed IRL?

“Pegasus from the all time best Disney movie, Hercules.”

What celebrity lookalike do you get compared to?

“Gemma Whelan from Game of Thrones.”

Since Millie joined us back in April, we’ve been blown away by her capabilities, creativity and charisma. We couldn’t be more excited to see what else she gets up to in the coming months and we’re blessed to have her on the team. To see more of what Millie does be sure to keep up to date with our social media channels!
